Day 122/365. I love entering Kentucky from the south on I-75, just over the border from Jellico, TN. It is the prettiest Interstate entry point of this state, in my opinion. Cattletsburg, Louisville, and Northern Kentucky don’t have the unspoiled scenery that you find here.
Day 121/365. World of Coca Cola! Somehow it reminds me of the Jetsons.
Day 113/365. I’ve always liked this sculpture. The image of the phoenix lifting Atlanta from the ashes reminds me to be optimistic in the face of difficulties. I looked for her at her previous location in front of the courthouse and was worried not to find her there. I was happy to find her here at her new(er) location.
Day 112/365. “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” – St. Augustine
I enjoy travel of any type. Destinations near or far make me happy because they give me the opportunity to see different scenery. They also provide me with wonderful photo ops 🙂 Before travel I’m like Dorothy in Kansas:
En route, and once I reach my destination I feel like Dorothy in Oz (without the tornadoes, wicked witches, angry apple trees and flying monkeys!):
My time off work so far has been a combination staycation/vacation with trips to Louisville, Cincinnati, Atlanta, and different parts of Lexington. As always I enjoy the journey, the stuff I see along the way, and the things I do once I get there.
