Day 242/365. Cedar Bluff United Methodist Church, Sevier County, TN.
“All good books are alike in that they are truer than if they had really happened and after you are finished reading one you will feel that all that happened to you and afterwards it all belongs to you…” Ernest Hemingway
I like to read, and I’ve always enjoyed this quote by Hemingway because I can relate to it. I think that one of the reasons that people take pictures is to preserve and remember objects, occasions and people that are important to them. With the camera you can record the moments and things that you want to remember, while the photographs serve as mementos of those captured moments. And much like Hemingway felt after reading a book, the moments that you capture with your camera always belong to you. By sharing photos, others can experience these moments too.
A picturesque church in the Smoky Mountains on a crisp autumn day framed by blue skies and colorful fall leaves was lovely. May we all remember moments like this.
